Patrick Topping enlists Murphy’s Law for ‘Want U’ remix
The club-focused rework is out today via Trick
Patrick Topping has released a new remix of his track ‘Want U’, this time handing the reins to Murphy’s Law. The rework lands on Topping’s Trick imprint on 12 December 2025, six months after the original gained traction as one of his standout summer releases.
Rather than leaning into the original’s brighter energy, Murphy’s Law take the track in a more restrained, club-driven direction. Their version tightens the groove around a weighty low end, muted synth tones and sharp piano accents, reshaping ‘Want U’ into a functional, heads-down tool aimed squarely at peak-time dancefloors.
The remix has already been tested in club settings over recent months, including during a back-to-back set with Topping in Tenerife, where the track first took shape in a live environment. Since then, it has become a regular feature in Murphy’s Law’s sets.
The brothers — Sonny and Finn Murphy — have built steady momentum over the past year through releases on labels such as Hot Creations, Ministry of Sound and Deeperfect, alongside consistent support from BBC Radio 1. The ‘Want U’ remix marks their first release on Trick and adds another high-profile collaboration to their growing catalogue.
