Pacha New York opens with Solomun, Michael Bibi and Black Coffee as celebrities flock to Brooklyn

After months of anticipation, Pacha New York officially opened its doors this weekend, marking the long-awaited return of the legendary Ibiza brand to the city with three sold-out nights led by Solomun, Michael Bibi and Black Coffee.

More than fifty years after the original Pacha first opened in Ibiza, the iconic nightlife institution has now established a permanent home in Brooklyn, bringing its signature blend of world-class electronic music, immersive production and hospitality-driven club culture to a new generation of New York ravers.

The opening celebrations began on Friday with a landmark performance from Solomun, who returned to New York during the Ibiza summer season for the first time in a decade to headline the venue’s inaugural night. Thousands gathered beneath the famous cherries as the DJ delivered a marathon set that officially launched Pacha’s newest chapter.

Saturday saw Michael Bibi take control of the dancefloor for a sold-out show, continuing the momentum with one of the most in-demand names in contemporary house music. The opening weekend concluded on Sunday with a headline performance from Black Coffee, whose globally celebrated blend of Afro-house and deep electronic sounds provided a fitting soundtrack to the venue’s first weekend in operation.

The launch also attracted a substantial celebrity crowd, with attendees including Pete Davidson, Deacon Phillippe, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Saweetie, Jadon Sancho, Ava Max, Alejandro Speitzer and several other figures from music, fashion, sport and entertainment.

The opening signals a significant moment for New York nightlife, with Pacha positioning itself as a long-term cultural hub rather than simply another club venue. Built on the foundations of Brooklyn’s dance music heritage, the space aims to combine international electronic talent with local creative communities while carrying forward the legacy of one of dance music’s most recognisable brands.

The momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Upcoming shows include sets from Louie Vega and Kenny Dope as Masters at Work, alongside performances from Vintage Culture, ANOTR, ARTBAT, Lost Frequencies, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler, Franky Rizardo, GORDO, ZHU, BLOND:ISH and Miss Monique later this year.

With three sold-out opening events and one of the strongest launch calendars in recent memory, Pacha New York has wasted little time in announcing itself as one of the city’s most significant new nightlife destinations.
