Danny Avila recruits Nicole Moudaber for rare vocal appearance on ‘welcome 2 miami’
The collaboration arrives via MoodCollective after Moudaber scrapped the track’s original AI-generated vocals and recorded them herself.
Danny Avila and Nicole Moudaber are joining forces for ‘Welcome 2 Miami’, a new club-focused collaboration landing on July 31 through Moudaber’s MoodCollective label.
Originally produced by Avila as a standalone record, the track took on a new direction after Moudaber decided to sign it. Rather than keeping its original AI-generated vocal, she chose to step into the booth herself, delivering one of her rare vocal performances and turning the release into a full collaboration.
“I loved the record instantly, but I wasn’t interested in using AI vocals. I said to Danny, ‘F**k AI. I’ll do them myself,’” says Moudaber.
Inspired by the energy of Space Miami, ‘Welcome 2 Miami’ pairs Avila’s driving production with Moudaber’s unmistakable presence, resulting in a record built for late-night club sets and sunrise dancefloors.
“For me, this collab is extra special because Nicole has been one of my favourite DJs and tastemakers ever since I started DJing over 15 years ago,” says Avila. “Getting the chance to create a record together that was inspired by a night at Space Miami feels like a full-circle moment.”
The release continues Avila’s steady progression into techno, a direction he has increasingly embraced over the last few years after building his career across multiple corners of electronic music. For Moudaber, it also expands the catalogue of MoodCollective, the label she launched in 2025 to champion forward-thinking club music and emerging talent.
‘Welcome 2 Miami’ is released on July 31 via MoodCollective.
