AMÉMÉ and Barney Bones hook up on 'Sweat' for Insomniac Records

West African-born AMÉMÉ and GRAMMY-nominated Barney Bones have released a new single 'Sweat' through Insomniac Records.

Born Hubert Sodogandji, AMÉMÉ has developed a global following through his One Tribe project, which began as a Brooklyn-based event series and has since grown into a broader cultural initiative. His recent work includes a reimagining of Angelique Kidjo’s 'Agolo' and releases with labels such as Black Book Records and Defected Records.

Barney Bones is a US-based songwriter and rapper, has previously collaborated with artists including Channel Tres and DRAMA in both hip-hop and electronic music.

AMÉMÉ says, "With Sweat, I wanted to turn up the temperature. Barney Bones came through with that raw, magnetic energy, and together we cooked up a track that's made to move you. It's a celebration of rhythm, dancing, and letting go."

'Sweat' features AMÉMÉ’s signature tribal percussion and atmospheric production paired with Barney Bones’ laid-back vocal delivery. The song combines deep chord progressions and layered synth work that makes for an immersive atmosphere.

The single follows a busy year for AMÉMÉ, who recently performed at EDC Las Vegas and returned to Coachella for a second time. In April, he headlined Boiler Room Lagos, marking the platform's return to Nigeria and highlighting his roots in Benin. It also arrives shortly after AMÉMÉ’s successful Insomniac Records release 'Feel The Love' with andhim and Malou, which accumulated over 500,000 streams and received airplay on multiple international radio stations, including BBC Radio 1 and Ibiza 1 Radio.
